“You [God] have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm, and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall, and like the heat of the desert. You silence the uproar of foreigners; as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.” (Isaiah25:4-5)
Isaiah’s words could be said about Ukraine today! Heart of Mercy Mission partners, embodying God’s love to the oppressed in the Ukraine, are being used by Him as “a refuge for the poor and needy… a shelter for the storm, a shade from the heat." They feed their hunger. Calm their fears. And speak Hope into their despair.
Pastor “Y” - who leads the rescue teams in Ukraine - wrote:
“April 14th, our team ministered again in Herson’s area, where about 1400 people got food, medicine, etc. In every village, along with the goods, we gave Jesus’ Gospel. And many are responding.
Even though we must travel two days at least, to get there, we thank God for our missionary work, and for your great ministry supporting our work to Ukrainian refugees.”
I feel so honored to partner with God Himself through our partners in Eastern Europe.
And you? Again, you and I can become “a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy…, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.” Think about it! What a privilege!
Will you join HMM and our partner’s team in Ukraine not only in giving, but also praying for God “to silence the song of the ruthless…”; the uproar of the bombs, the crying of young girls raped by enemy soldiers….
I always say that “Prayer is the work! Ministry is just reaping the results” of our answered prayers.
Therefore,please pray for…
…strength and resilience to Pastor "Y" and his teams, as well as for safety on arduous trips inside Ukraine.
...“the song of this ruthless enemy army to be stilled” once and for all.
Thank you!
Believing with you,
